Another Article on Nigerian Politics

Make no mistake, I love my country and all that bull… but I’m done seeing Nigerians acting strung.
Call this a rant if you may but today I’m giving my opinion on the National stupidity going on in the country today.
Now why press P? This past week i’ve engaged in soooo many Jonathan VS Buhari arguments and at the end of it all I always catch myself saying ” What the hell is wrong with these people?”  .  But in all of these arguments there is one thing everyone i’ve conversed with had in common-“The String Theory”

According to some BBM display picture that has been flying around, The String Theory goes thus
You see the string theory appears like it can be applied to only romantic relationships but after studying it carefully, I realised this is exactly what is going on between Nigerians and the aspiring political leaders.
How did we find ourselves in such a miserable situation where we are given two bad candidates to vote for the ‘least worst’ to become the president of our country, and the worst part is the opposing statements from the arguments between the electorates.
Team Goodluck Goes -Goodluck has really tried, you just don’t see it because of Boko Haram. That guy has been a better president than all of our past presidents” and I’m like you mean the man that went on CNN and said that Electricity has become stable in Nigeria while we were deeply embarrassed as we were shown a video of Nigerians using 2 Generators to power their homes? or the man that came out to say that his government has been infiltrated by Boko Haram insinuating how weak he was at handling the situation? or the man that was given the opportunity to tell Nigerians why they should vote for him and all he could sing was how Buhari doesn’t know his own phone number and seeking pity by telling us how there was an assassination attempt on his life that get this- Was never made public till it was time for his pity party.  How all this take concern us I don’t know. But unfortunately this is one of the ‘Strong’ choices Nigerians have as the next president.
Team Buhari Goes” Enough is Enough! we need a stern hand to restore peace in this country. Buhari is the man that can bring back peace in this country” Then they go sharing pictures of how beautiful his ‘Presidential Campaign’ family is and how he looks good in a Suit and Tie. Not to forget how cute and ‘sexy’ his daughter who has been trending on Twitter looks will fit perfectly as “The Nigerian President’s daughter” Listening to all these makes my head swirl at the stupidity of Nigerians and how they are quick to forget in the name of wanting a ” Change”. I mean is this not the same man that led a totalitarian military government in the name of “War Against Indiscipline” , the same man that forced Nigerians through inhumane actions to shiver in their own homes just knowing any mistake of an offence declared by the almighty Buhari could result into the worse whipping of their lives or worst being jailed without a hearing? This is the guy we are inviting to come and “whip” us into a positive change?
Its all good. It just goes to prove that we don’t really know what we want. We are just desperate for change no matter what form it comes in or who is singing the word without any detailed measures of achieving it. WE HAVE BEEN STRUNG and no one sees it but the political parties responsible.
What sickens me the most is the way the youth have been blinded by all of this. Wait! why don’t we have any young fresh candidate with real passion for the country going for president. Why must the leading candidates be former presidents who are old and can’t even remember what our problems are not to talk of fixing them?
Personally, I ain’t voting for nobody not just because I'm too lazy to get one or because it is a serious loooooong thing to get it but simply because I am not ready to go through that stress to choose the least worst candidate to be my next president. So please vote if you can let us hope the ‘real least worst’ candidate wins.

Honestly I could go all day on this post but I’m really tired of typing and I know by now you are tired of reading and worse my rant ain’t gonna change s#!* so iIll just drop this here and move on.
I love this damn Country but the situation is just unfortunate…sighs.
